rawlings-pro5-official-high-school-game-footballFile this in the “Made for TV Movie Waiting to Happen” category. Austin College played Trinity University this past Saturday and made history. KXII television in Texas reports that when the team made their only touchdown of the game they called in Tom Thompson to kick the extra point. Tom Thompson is 61 years old. By being put in the game, Thompson became the oldest college player ever. The story notes that Thompson was a kicker in high school, but had to learn how to do it all over again when he went out for the college team.

The good news is he made the point. But he also made another point: it’s never too late to follow your dreams. Head over to the Web site to watch the video. Inspirational!
