Wow, I love how you just lay that out there, brutality not-restrained where required. Much appreciated from a fellow Twilight-book-reader and skeptical Twilight-movie-goer. I haven't seen New Moon yet but I did just watch Twilight for the 2nd time the other day and had a completely different experience from the first time I saw it. Mostly I realized that the acting is indeed quite terrible and the long cross-room stares become rather hilarious about 20 minutes into the movie. I'll definitely see this one though -- and when did Jacob get to be such a hottie?!

Well said, my dear! I went in expecting the worst and was semi-pleasantly surprised with how much more I liked New Moon than Twilight's disappointment. I think it partly revolved around the fact that Jacob actually looks and acts how I imagined while reading the book(s), while all of the Cullens do not (except maybe Carlisle). Since they're not really in the movie much, I was able to fall into the story more than I was able to with Twilight. I agree with you in that reading the book didn't emphasize how shallow the love triangle seems as much as Jacob and Edward's vocalizations did on screen. Nonetheless, I did enjoy the movie and was not disappointed this time around. LEt's hope for the same with the next 2 installments. Cheers!
