I want to know how, even if you're for universal health care, you can support being sent to jail if you don't buy insurance. This isn't auto insurance where my actions might directly hurt someone else.... it's me that suffers if I can't pay a doctors bill. Another point, we already have a system that doesn't turn you away if you don't have insurance. You may wait at a free clinic or in emergency or at county hospital, but it's free. Did you expect a Mercedes thrown in with every appendix operation? Give me a break. Last point, I had a friend send a link to http://www.genhope.com/ which seems to hit some of these same points and includes a petition to send to your senator.
